I have three boys, so I only get to have a tea party if I’m babysitting or a friend brings their daughters over. How about we make some cute tea party treats for Mother’s Day or after reading a Jane Austen novel? You do not have to cut the crust off, but simply cut the sandwich into fourths. Also, you don’t have to use cookie cutters unless you feel like getting fancy. Here are 12 easy recipes I found to do just that!
- Cucumber Sandwiches – I always think of cucumber sandwiches when I think of tea parties!
2. Egg Salad Sandwiches – This recipe is way easier than making deviled eggs!
3. Ham and Cheese – So easy and you can make with any meat or cheese!
4. Mozzarella, Tomato, & Basil – Makes me think of Bruschetta!
5. Tomato Twiddle – I can’t wait to try this one but I’d use canned stewed, peeled tomatoes to save time.
6. BLT – A classic that all ages love and you can sub for plant based bacon for vegan/vegetarian!
7. Pimiento Cheese – You can always buy premade pimiento cheese too!
8. Raspberry Fluff & Nutella – You can also just make Nutella sandwiches which are my boy’s favorite! They also like Nutella between two pretzel crisps for a crunchy snack!
9. Herbed Avocado Egg Salad – I want to make these for myself as wraps as I love avocado!
10. Gouda and Tomato – I love gouda especially smoked but haven’t tried with tomato before!
11. “Sushi” Rolls – What a cute idea and the adults can have real sushi!
12. Peanut Butter & Jelly – The classic kid’s sandwich and you can always sub sunflower butter for nut allergies!
I have a little collection of vintage tea cups that I have been saving for a tea party occasion. I am so excited to try these recipes and is it acceptable to serve sweet tea in them? Please share your picture with us if you try the recipes. Use #MomsAroundLouisville!
