StageOne Academy summer camps encourage students of all ages and abilities to explore and practice the fundamentals – and the fun – of theatre!

• 2- and 3-Week Performance Camps: James & the Giant Peach Jr, School of Rock: The Musical – Young Actors Edition, Mean Girls Jr, and 101 Dalmatians KIDS
• Theme Weeks: From secret agents to time travel to a Jedi Academy and Disney characters, there’s something for everyone!
• Drama Skills Camps: Playwriting labs, improv, and audition skills. Plus, music theatre featuring Wicked and a special advanced skills class that focuses on Shakespeare.

Summer camps should be innovative, fun, and different. They should challenge and engage your child both creatively and academically. Camp Walden provides the total package in an exciting, six-week program at Walden School in St. Matthews. Imagine bright, sunny days full of STEAM activities, arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, and creative academics. They offer nearly 100 camp sessions for Grades PreK-12. From gardening and baking to athletics and art, there’s something for every camper with a taste for fun and trying something new!

discovery, creativity, and connection! Kids dive into exciting Adventure Weeks filled with hands-
on projects, themed activities, special events, and surprise moments that keep each day fresh.

A one-week performing arts camp exploring drama, music, and dance. Taught by DDP theatre professionals and focusing on creative dramatics and scenes, songs, and dance from Broadway musicals, the camp culminates in a final sharing on the Playhouse stage. In past seasons, many camp students have gone on to be cast in young actor roles in DDP’s professional productions.

At The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK), children with disabilities and lifelong illnesses can experience a true summer camp adventure with activities like swimming, dancing, boating, art & music, and horseback riding, in a medically inclusive, accessibility focused environment – all at no cost to families. Nestled on 168 acres in Scottsville, KY, the not-for-profit medical camp offers nine summer camp sessions tailored to specific disabilities and illnesses so campers can bond with peers who understand their journey and form lasting friendships. Family weekend retreats in the spring and fall provide an opportunity for children, siblings, and parents to experience camp together, creating meaningful shared memories.
