Summer Camps

Give an experience that your children will remember for the rest of their lives. Here are some local options for Summer camps in Louisville and the surrounding areas. These local camps have something for kids of all interests and all ages this Summer! Due to limited capacity, some camps may be full or waitlisted currently. We strive to provide an accurate list of all options for now or in the future. Enjoy the outdoors and play!

StageOne DramaWorks camps encourage students of all ages and abilities to explore and practice the fundamentals – and the fun – of theatre.

One-week themed, age-specific camps draw on kids’ natural curiosity and their favorite characters to engage imaginations and play.

Two- and three-week performance camps give students the practical application of putting a production on the stage. Productions will include Winnie the Pooh Kids, Treasure Island, Finding Nemo Jr and Mary Poppins Jr.

Led by local professional artists and educators, our camps are designed to meet students exactly where they are – whether this is their first performance opportunity or they’re a seasoned veteran of the stage.

Ages 3-17

Summer camps should be innovative, fun, and different. They should challenge and engage your child both creatively and academically. Camp Walden provides the total package in an exciting, five-week program at Walden School in St. Matthews. Imagine bright, sunny days full of STEAM activities, arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, and creative academics. They offer over 70 unique camp sessions for Grades PreK-12. From theater and baking to athletics and crafts, there’s something for every camper with a taste for fun and trying something new!

A one-week performing arts camp exploring drama, music, and dance. Taught by DDP theatre professionals and focusing on creative dramatics and scenes, songs, and dance from Broadway musicals, the camp culminates in a final sharing on the Playhouse stage.

Ages 7 to 17

Spend your Summer at Sacred Heart!

Sacred Heart is offering 60 camps throughout June and July for campers ranging from three years old to 12th grade. Choose from athletics, arts, and academic camps offered in morning and afternoon sessions. Campers spending the whole day can bring lunch and stay on their beautiful 48-acre campus.

Your camper will learn, grow, make new friends, and have FUN! The opportunities are endless when you spend your summer at Sacred Heart!

Presentation Academy will offer a variety of summer camps (such as Archery, Art, Basketball, Drama, Golf, Intro to Crime Scene Unit with LPMD, Soccer, Study Skills, and Volleyball) for two weeks during summer break: the weeks of Monday, June 10 and Monday, June 17. Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $50. Extended Care (pick up by 2:30) will be available if there is enough interest. There will be an additional fee of $7.5 per day.

Have a blast this summer with Mathnasium summer camps and programs! Stop the summer slide with their all-summer-long math programs, utilizing customized learning plans and individualized instruction, or mix in a little STEM with their summer camps.

Camp Mathnasium is a 3-hour camp, lasting Monday-Thursday every week of the summer (excepting July 1st). From 12pm to 2pm, your mathlete will be hands-on with STEAM activities like building roller coasters and making slime, or learning to build and code a robot with their specialty Robotics camp! From 2-3pm, they host a dedicated math learning hour, where students work through their customized learning plan to stop the summer slide, fill in foundational gaps, and get ahead for the coming school year. 

The Mathnasium Summer Program is all math all the time – with math-based games, puzzles, and competitions thrown in to keep up the summer fun. Prepare for next year’s math classes, strengthen foundational skills, and learn to love math with their flexible summer program options!
