If brown is the new black for the season, then apple is the NEW pumpkin for the fall.
The day Starbucks brought back their fall drinks, my feed was inundated with the PSL updates and all the hoopla about the flavor of the season. I didn’t run out to get one; they taste a little like how dirty feet smell to me, so I tried the apple drinks they offer.
Apple is the NEW pumpkin for me, and I will affectionately be calling this fall my Apple Crisp Era. And now I’m hungry, so enjoy a couple of my favorite apple recipes for this newly christened Apple Crisp Era.

Simple Apples with Dip
